Kobo has a coupon code 50DEC for 50% off e-books through December 31, 2013. You can use it for all titles including The Parents' Guide to Clubfoot and The Parents' Guide to Hip Dysplasia. If you like fiction, a couple of my short stories are available in the anthologies Doorways to Extra Time and Year's End: 14 Tales of Holiday Horror. Happy shopping!
I’m happy to announce an e-book giveaway of my book The Parents’ Guide to Hip Dysplasia. I have been wanting to do something to support the One Hip World group, so I reached out to my publisher Hunter House to see what we could come up with. We put our heads together and decided to give away 50 e-book editions of The Parents’ Guide to Hip Dysplasia. The e-book has all of the same information as the print edition including all the illustrations, plus it has live links to online resources.
I love being a part of the online hip dysplasia community. It’s inspiring the way parents help each other out though what can be a very difficult time. I’m very excited about this event and can’t wait to find out who the winners will be.
Here's the link to Rafflecopter where you can enter to win. Good luck!

The countdown has begun, but the only thing striking at midnight will be terror...
New Year's Eve isn't all champagne and confetti. For some, it's filled with regrets, the changing of the day dragging them kicking and screaming into a year for which they aren't prepared. This year, some people will be screaming, but they may not make it to the New Year at all.
Mixology Exceprt: Tonight’s signature drink is Midnight Ice. Nancy decides to try one, though event-based drinks are usually awful. In moments, Alyssa has whipped up a concoction made of Blue Curacao, Black Haus, and two kinds of gin with crushed goji berries and a basil leaf, finished with a squeeze of key lime over ice. “Stars?” she asks.
Betsy Miller writes nonfiction and fiction.
